Comcast has been going on about how if you are a Comcast subscriber you need to update to digital cable because of the transition to digital that is going on for TVs with antennae. This has nothing to do with digital cable. Comcast also keeps whining about internet issues and their infrastructure. That is incorrect information. Here is what is published by Comcast regarding the broadcast transition:www.comcast.com/dtvSeparate from the broadcast transition, cable companies may select to transition to all digital at any time. This would not be due to FCC guidelines, but rather for additional bandwidth and the ability to offer more HD channels and other services.I hope this provides clarification!Frank EliasonComcast

Hmm… interesting to get a comment from someone at Comcast. But, whatever efforts the company is making to say they are not confusing anyone… I’m sure many people have seen the commercials that talk about the change to digital that is coming up. The commercials say Comcast is taking care of everything for their customers, regarding the change. The fact is that Comcast has nothing to do with the switch to digital over the airwaves. Which means there is nothing for Comcast to take care of, yet they advertise that they are doing something. If you read my original post that is the point I’ve made.Oh yeah Frank, maybe they haven’t told, but Comcast is being investigated for it’s pricing regarding digital vs. analog cable TV. Just try googling it. 😉
