I survived the events from yesterday. The process itself was actually quite painless. We were in the building for maybe 15-20 minutes and the actual thing only took about 6 minutes. It was the most expensive 3 minutes of my life, but it is finished now.
Afterwards I walked around Munich for a while and ended up in the San Francisco Coffee Company at Odeonsplatz Some of you might remember it from after my short walking tour. They have wireless so I went online for awhile and then later went back to where I’m staying to crash for a while.
Later that night I met my friend A from CSB to watch an Israeli movie since it is Israeli film week at the cultural center in Munich, Gasteig Oh, he’s from Israel, that’s why he wanted to go to see the film. It was actually interesting. It was a documentary about a street kid in Jerusalem.
After that we went to a bar that is modeled after the famous Brecht musical called The Threepenny Opera The place is pretty cool because every room is based on a scene from the musical.
So, it was nice to get out and see people. Sitting at home was not an option. Tonight I’m going to dinner with M. Tomorrow I’ll go talk to some hotels about my Oktoberfest trip next fall. Then maybe the Hofbrauhaus…
