Why is it once you hit 30, so many other people over 30(older than you), want to tell you that you are getting old? I mean really 30 even 40 is not that old! I can’t tell you how many times people have told me that that I’m getting old. I might say my leg hurts today. Then someone says, “oh, you’re getting old..” Well, no. I was kicked last night playing soccer. I mean, if you start saying you’re old at 30, what are you going to say when you’re 60?!? All that’s left is, “I’m dead?” Boy I hope there is more to life than that.
I play a lot of soccer. One of the groups that I play pick up with has a number of older guys. Last night I was talking with one of the guys and he told me he was 64! I couldn’t believe it. I hope I am still out there and able to play at 64!
Anyway, I am a big believer that a lot of how old you feel is your head. If you start believing that you are old, you will feel old. I don’t mean be stupid and try to do all the same things you did at 20 when you’re 40. The good thing about getting older is wisdom should come with age.
I recently found a site called realage.com. They have an age test that is supposed to give you an idea about what your real age is by using information from your lifestyle. Take it with a grain of salt. Mine was pretty accurate until the questions came about business, and the stress of starting a business. My “real age” suddenly jumped 10 years older than I really am! To take the test click the orange button “Take The RealAge Test”. Check it out:
